Carroll E. Harper
Carroll Harper began his insurance career in 1975 as a Life and Disability Insurance producer, but soon found his niche assisting boomers and seniors with Medicare and Long Term Care Insurance planning.
He opened an independent agency in 1981 and later became a Supervising General Agency with a large LTCi carrier, earning many top producer awards and trips throughout the US, Canada and abroad.
He has personally serviced LTCi claim benefits totaling in the millions of dollars, authored numerous publications on both Medicare and LTCi planning. His articles have appeared in local, regional and national publications. He has written numerous LTCi CE courses and continues to maintain a production leadership position with numerous LTCi and Medicare companies. He authors a quarterly newsletter for financial planners, elder law attorneys, bankers, producers and other professionals.
He has worked tirelessly with Maine legislators to bring about positive change to provide greater consumer protection for Maine’s LTCi and Medicare consumers.
His trademark educational approach to LTCi and Medicare has earned him the respect of numerous industry related professionals.
He conducts his business with a simple service philosophy, “take care of them and they’ll take care of you”! From day one and to this day, he believes that service is the most important part of the business. He believes strongly that is the reason his business continues its growth based on referrals from existing clients and other professionals, knowing that they will be taken care of at claim time.
Carroll, along with his capable staff is dedicated to the corporate motto of “unequalled commitment to service”!
Carroll enjoys bass fishing with his son and grandson, working side by side with his grandson on weekend projects, carving birds and writing music.
Jane joined the agency in 1993 to head up the accounting department. Her job involves distribution of producer compensation, fulfilling timely Federal and State tax requirements, overseeing accounts payables and receivables, payroll, as well as tracking company commissions and working with our corporate accounting firm.
Jane came from a background of working in the local school system as well as in the trust department of a local bank prior to joining the insurance business.
She enjoys photography and babying the family German Shepard dog and summer visits from the little grand girls from California!
Jill joined Carroll Harper and Associates in August 2011 taking on the role of Administrative Assistant and personal assistant to Carroll.
Her responsibilities in addition to the everyday secretarial duties include working with both clients and agency producers in servicing their particular needs. These range from providing every day outstanding customer service to Long Term Care Insurance quotes for our agency producers. In addition, she processes all Long Term Care Insurance and Medicare processing submissions, claims and dictation. Her multitasking skills are unequalled.
Jill attended Husson College in Bangor, Maine and worked previously as a Pharmacy Technician and in the MDI school system.
In addition to raising her family, Jill has spent numerous hours volunteering for the local Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Jill fills her pastime with hiking, biking, kayaking and photography.
Judy joined our agency in 2002 and is our Office Manager, as well as the head of our employee benefits division.
Judy assists individuals, families and businesses in obtaining insurance coverage for their health care costs, along with dental, life and disability insurance. She has played an integral role in navigating the change in health care insurance and continues to work to find solutions in a limited choice market place.
Judy worked in Real Estate, the legal field, as well as being a customer sales rep for a large sign company prior to joining our agency.
She enjoys biking, working out, feeding the birds, photography and planting and taking care of her gardens.
Susan joined our agency in 2013 as a new business processor and to manage inventory. She also is responsible for our mail, FedEx and shipping and ordering.
Susan is responsible for miscellaneous duties that can arise at any given moment.
Susan holds the CNA/CRMA designation and previously worked in local nursing facilities and continues to maintain her education in nursing.
Susan enjoys photography, listening to live Country Music performances and family get-togethers.
